Temperatures are set to rise to 39C inland on Friday and 32C along the coast, as the warm front over the island continues.

It will be slightly cooler in mountain areas at 30C.

On Friday night the weather will be mainly clear with some light fog or mist.

Temperatures will drop to around 20C inland and on the coast and to 19C in the higher mountains.

They are expected to drop gradually after the weekend closer to the seasonal average.
