“I am satisfied, as we remain in the title battle. I am separated by two points from 6th place and 30 from 3rd and if we remove the two worst results that are deleted automatically after the race in the Czech Republic, the differences are almost zero”.

This is how Vladimiros Tziortzis faced the two-day race at Brands Hatch in the UK, in the third round of EURONASCAR PRO 2025

The Cypriot driver recorded two top-ten finishes, maintaining eighth place in the overall standings and a very close contact with the above drivers. “I am still eighth in the overall championship standings and I am satisfied because I did everything I could, as I could have missed Sunday’s race after a hit that I got from behind,” he says.

How did the race weekend go

In Friday’s practices Tziortzis managed to post times in the top ten, despite the fact that he had to deal with an understeer problem at the entrance of each corner. On Saturday the drivers were divided in two groups. As a result Tziortzis was in the first group. With dry tires on a 70% wet trac as it had rained all night, the Cypriot driver qualified 13th for the starting line of the first race. He gained three places, finishing 10th, a position in which he also finished in Sunday’s race, in which he had started 14th.

It is worth noting that, in the second race, it took extra effort from Tziortzis to drive his car, an HTFX Ford Mustang V8, to the finish line, due to a hit he received.

“After the safety car left, the cars in front of me stopped immediately and that’s why I had to brake and Doubek hit me from behind, causing me to end up on top of the car in front of me and the hood to lift,” says Tziortzis. “I could barely see anything from the driver’s seat. I tried to follow the car in front through a small window and be able to finish.”

Positive News

In addition to maintaining a top-ten position in the general classification, other positive news emerged from the UK for the 28-year-old SPEEDHOUSE driver, as in the warm-up for Sunday’s race it was possible to find the appropriate car settings, adapted to his driving, which will help him a lot in the following races.

“I feel that from the Czech Republic I will have the car with the grip I want as after a long time it seemed that on Sunday morning we found what suits us,” he said: “I had hopes that this solution would help me in the second race in England, but when you start 14th on such a small track where the others defend very easily, there’s not much you can do.”

In conclusion, Tziortzis notes: “Now the attention turns to the Czech Republic and since I have the traction I had at Brands Hatch, I am positive that in qualifying we will be where we deserve to be, so that we will be well ahead in the starting grid.”

The race at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic is scheduled for August 30-31.
