Char. Pilakoutas Auto Alliance Ltd, a member of the Pilakoutas Group, has started taking orders for the revolutionary Renault 5 E-Tech Electric with the standard version offered at the exceptional price of €18,900, including the government subsidy.

The Renault 5 is one of the most iconic models in the long history of the French car industry. Introduced to the public in 1972, it was loved for its distinctive design, versatility, practicality and low fuel consumption. It was the answer to the challenges of the time during the oil crisis, meeting the needs of thousands of people for an affordable car.

Its electric revival today also meets the needs and demands of the times. The new Renault 5 E-Tech Electric addresses environmental concerns of energy frugality, sustainability and a low carbon footprint. At the same time, for the Renault Group, it represents its “Renaulution” recovery strategy, and its shift towards electrification.

The new Renault 5 E-Tech Electric has a highly-futuristic design, but with retro elements as it adopts the shape and key features of the iconic Renault 5 of the past. Its bright colours, the design of the front and rear lights, the accentuated wheel arches, the grille and the square daytime running lights at the edges of the body, all stand out.

A similar character is found in the interior of the model. The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric features a large 10.1″ touchscreen for the multimedia system, with bright graphics, and also offers the latest generation OpenR Link infotainment system with integrated Google services and over 50 practical applications.

During the development of Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, great emphasis was also placed on safety, with Renault equipping it with the latest generation of assistance systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Driver Assist, a technology with Level 2 autonomous driving features.

The body architecture offers significant competitive advantages, including a flat floor, a long wheelbase (2.54 m long), a low centre of gravity, optimised interior space, a generous 326-litre boot, and a reduced weight of less than 1,500 kg.

In terms of powertrain, the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric is offered in three power versions: 120 and 150 PS from batteries with an energy capacity of 40 and 52 kWh respectively. This gives it a range of up to 400 km (WLTP), and it also has support for V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) capability, which allows the vehicle to return energy to the grid.

With so much to offer, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric won the title of European Car of the Year for 2025. A distinction won for the second year in a row by the French automaker after the Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric won the title last year.
