Eurostat data shows that online learning tool use in Cyprus decreased to 11 per cent in 2024, while the EU average increased to 33 per cent.

Ranking second to last after Romania (10 per cent), Cyprus online learning tool use saw a 5 per cent decrease from 16 per cent in 2023.

Ireland recorded the highest proportion of internet users participating in online learning (61 per cent), followed by the Netherlands (59 per cent).

The figures refer to the number of internet users in that had reportedly taken an online course or used online learning materials in the three months prior to the survey.
